Sustainability

Rivers are our lifelines. They provide, sustain and nourish. Our cruises and our teams have a deep, abiding love for and
gratitude towards our rivers and we want them to flow eternally. And so we’ve put several measures in place in order
to preserve the waters, wildlife and culture of the rivers we sail on.

Clean river

Eliminating single-use plastic wherever possible.
Sewage treatment and water treatment plants on every ship.

Clean Fuel

ACs, fans, lights, and kitchens run on solar power wherever possible.
Using shore electricity to reduce consumption of fuel.
Using Xtra green fuel to reduce carbon emissions and particulate matter, and increase fuel efficiency.

Go Local

Focusing on world and regional cuisine with local produce.
Promoting local crafts and products to highlight the cultures and enhance livelihoods along the river.
Using local forms of transport, hiring local people and working on skill development.

Go Natural

Sailing is designed mindfully to protect the river’s inhabitants.
Using all natural and/or organic products in rooms and kitchens.
Tie ups with with CSR efforts to preserve wildlife, especially in the Sunderbans.
