Golaghat, Sonitpur, Biswanath and Nagaon districts of

Guwahati Embarkation – Mayong

Arrive Guwahati in the morning and proceed to visit the Kamakhya Temple (from outside) and the Assam State Museum. Transfer to the Pandu Port for embarking the ship. Welcome onboard followed by a Safety Briefing and Lunch. Begin our sail upstream on the Brahmaputra River towards Mayong.

River day Mayong – Tezpur

Today we continue sailing full day upstream to Tezpur, which is one of the largest cities on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River.

Tezpur – Silghat (B/L/D)

This morning we walk to visit the Cole Park that was established in 1906. It features two massive ornamented stone pillars and other sculptural remnants of the 9th and 10th centuries. Return to the ship and sail onward to Silghat.

Silghat – Kaziranga – Silghat (B/L/D)

Spend the full day in the Kaziranga National Park, a World Heritage Site with morning and afternoon jeep safaris and lunch at a local restaurant.

Silghat - Biswanath Ghat - Dhansiri Mukh

Morning sail to Biswanath Ghat, popularly called Gupta Kashi due to the cluster of temples of different gods. Visit the Biswanath Temple, located at the confluence of Bridhaganga river with Brahmaputra. Afternoon sail to Dhansiri Mukh, the confluence where the Dhansiri river meets the Brahmaputra.

River day Dhansiri Mukh – Majuli

Today we sail full day upstream to arrive at Majuli, a river island in the Brahmaputra. It is the abode of the Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture.

Majuli – Nimati Ghat

We explore two notable monasteries, called Satras at Majuli – the Kamalabari Satra, which is a centre of art, and classical studies; and the Auniati Satra, which has a unique museum. These monasteries are also famous for their dance drama performances. Continue sail onward to Nimati Ghat

Nimati Ghat – Sibsagar – Nimati Ghat

Today we drive in motor vehicles for about an hour to explore Sibsagar, which was the capital of the Ahom Kingdom. Visit the Shiva Dol temple, Talatal Ghar, an 18th century palace and military base; and the Rang Ghar, the royal sports-pavilion.

Nimati Ghat Disembarkation / Dibrugarh

We disembark the ship after breakfast and transfer to the Dibrugarh airport (approx. 4-hrs drive) for onward journey.
